givenchy resort

this collection is blowing my mind with its infinite, innovative combinations of black and white

and leopard print

my favorite things

i have so many marinéres collected from my time in paris, and i wear them all the time. so many, in fact, they have their own drawer just for stripey things.

my other favorite thing to wear is big men's shirts, half untucked.

and lastly, i love to mix prints, the more the merrier.

paris

so something about me: i used to live in paris. went to art school there for a little while. learned so much about how to dress from les parisiennes, and now have lots of beautiful memories and striped shirts à la marinière. every month i like to find myself in paris again between the pages of paris vogue...

seeeing spots

done the right way, animal prints are fierce and feminine....

speaking of fierce females, here's one: the late, extremely great louise bourgeois. a role model as a woman, an artist, and one hell of a stylish, sassy lady...

joutfit

tommy ton of jak & jil just coined a new word for the all denim look: joutfit as in "jean-outfit"

though hanneli looks lovely in her joutfit, me i prefer just a really great pair of jeans, like these ladies....

what about you? joutfit or no?

color palette

my favorite summer color palette comes from balenciaga:

it also reminds me of painter amy sillman's recent show in chelsea, nyc:

i want to go to there:

hi.

here's a few things i like:

anything striped. mixing patterns. wearing pants. riding bikes.

i am a painter. i live and work in nyc.

anything else you want to know, just ask!
